I&E Technician

Department: Engineering & Operations

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking an I&E Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead role in completion of day to day operations, routine and scheduled maintenance tasks and appropriate reports
  • Carries out maintenance and testing activities for: Control valves, Positioners, I2Ps, transmitters not limited to Level, Pressure, Temperature, and Flow.
  • Maintains Calibration sheets for all instruments including Fire Eyes and LEL detectors.
  • Fault-finding and repair of instrumentation/electronic systems and equipment
  • Modifies, repairs or replaces systems and equipment
  • Participates in required Safety training.
  • Interprets technical drawings: P&ID, One Lines, Panel layouts, and cable schedule
  • Repair and maintenance of a variety of instrumentation and control equipment
  • Maintain facility instrumentation and controls to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, electrical distribution systems, motors, and other electrical equipment up to 480VAC.
  • Maintain facility chromatographs and analytical equipment.
  • Oversees and supervises any I&E work performed by third party contractors.
  • Assist with planning and executing plant turnarounds including start up and shutdown procedures, equipment isolation, and scheduling.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and participate in company safety meetings.
  • Assists in measurement, maintenance, or operations as needed.
  • Participate in HAZOPs and give input on I&E portion of any new projects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledgeable with Lock out/Tag out Procedures
  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training
  • Familiar with Testing equipment: 475 Field communicator, Fluke 789 Process meter, Amp Clamp, Cal Gas
  • Must have 3 years of working knowledge of natural gas measurement practices and equipment.
  • Computer experience, with experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of instrument controls and control valves.
  • Must have good mathematical skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Must have valid driver’s license for state of residency and be insurable under Cureton’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must pass criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test.

Plant Operator

Department: Engineering & Operations
Location: Keenesburg, CO
Report: Plant Manager

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Plant Operator to join our Front Range Gas Plant Operations team located in Keenesburg, CO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
  • Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
  • Read and understand P&IDs.
  • Understand and perform Lock out/Tag out procedures
  • Contractor orientation will be held on a regular basis to maintain the safety of all personnel.
  • Conduct tailgate meetings with contractors before starting task
  • Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
  • Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
  • Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
  • Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third party interests as required.
  • Complete assigned reports and logs
  • Work irregular hours, outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions

Skills / Qualifications

Field Technician (Operations)

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Field Technician to support our field operation in northeast Colorado:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pipeline operations and maintenance activities on pipeline systems including compressor stations, dehydration/stabilizer facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include but is not limited to:

  • Assist pigging operations as needed along with proper documentation and procedures
  • Estimate and/ or calculate flow rates and total volumes
  • Learn to fill out applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities
  • Manage inventory at assigned sites regarding: Glycol, Methanol, NGL’s, Produced Water
  • Monitor pipeline conditions and recognizes flow restrictions in gas systems and take appropriate actions
  • Obtain data from electronic flow measurement (EFM) devices
  • Participates in preparation of field operating procedures and the training of co-workers in a safe and efficient operation practices
  • Perform minor repairs and assist with major repairs on compression and related equipment
  • Perform pipeline locates and monitor work of contractors and pipeline companies working around company pipelines and right-of-ways
  • Perform routine and emergency startup/shutdown of all field equipment
  • Perform routine shutdowns and startup of equipment and perform emergency procedures when required
  • Responsible for pipeline maintenance and monitoring including protection, corrosion monitoring, pipeline pigging, pressure maintenance, loss gas, line repairs, etc.
  • Responsible for starting and stopping of all station equipment, dehydration operations and maintenance, and maximize field compression efficiently
  • Technician will also be required to perform certain PSM functions and activities.
  • Testing for O2 and H2S levels in gas streams
  • This person will have basic understanding of PLC’s and their functions, flow and temperatures and BTEX units.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Execute all maintenance activities related to plant maintenance and operation
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision
  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software

Gas Plant Revenue Accountant / Manager

Position Overview

A privately held midstream gas gathering and processing company is seeking a Gas Plant Revenue Accountant / Manager for the Denver, Colorado location. This position will account for natural gas production and settlement which includes but is not limited to monthly closing, analysis, and reporting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use of spreadsheets and /or allocations software, prepare allocations of plant liquids production and residue gas back to the wellhead/receipt point and at the tailgate of the
  • Use of spreadsheets and /or allocations software, prepare sales invoices, purchase settlement statements and record entries into the general ledger for the purchase and sale of natural gas and liquid
  • Prepare contract briefs and comparisons for use by commercial team in ensuring future contracts conform to current process regarding key elements that affect the revenue accounting
  • Interface with producers to answer questions, provide meter statements and settlement statements.
  • Prepares monthly and periodic tax reports for filing and payment with various state and federal agencies (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with plant personnel to understand plant operations and
  • Coordinate with commercial sales and gas purchase personnel to understand and use, product pricing, and contract
  • Calculate liquid and gas settlements for the generation of producer payments using models/systems.
  • Generate sales invoices and track Monthly review of accounts receivable aging relating to specific assets/producers.
  • Balance the pipeline systems monthly volumes to assure all quantities and related values are properly
  • Prepare and analyze monthly settlement statements and present at monthly management meetings.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accounting journal entries for Controller’s review and
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to revenue process on a monthly
  • Review income statement accounts and ensure that entries are appropriately classified and in the correct
  • Quarterly or Annual FERC reporting (as applicable).
  • Assist with the monthly review of crude oil shipper invoices (as applicable).
  • Understand and apply the logic of pipeline tariff or rates for analysis of appropriate monthly billing per
  • Develop, expand, and maintain good working relations with shippers, producers, and pipeline companies.

Knowledge and Skills

  • A minimum of five years of Midstream Gas Gathering and Processing revenue accounting experience is
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Excel. Crude Oil Software a
  • Responsible individual who takes initiative/ownership in all areas of work and is driven to make positive contribution to the
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Willing to assume additional responsibilities if needed, and work daily in a fast-paced collaborative team

Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The position is primarily an office position where work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where no environmental hazards are encountered in the performance of normal job duties.
