Plant Operator

Department: Engineering & Operations
Location: Keenesburg, CO
Report: Plant Manager

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Plant Operator to join our Front Range Gas Plant Operations team located in Keenesburg, CO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
  • Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
  • Read and understand P&IDs.
  • Understand and perform Lock out/Tag out procedures
  • Contractor orientation will be held on a regular basis to maintain the safety of all personnel.
  • Conduct tailgate meetings with contractors before starting task
  • Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
  • Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
  • Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
  • Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third party interests as required.
  • Complete assigned reports and logs
  • Work irregular hours, outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
  • Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year gas plant operations or related experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas processing facilities and related equipment is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
  • Requires continuous use of technical and business vocabulary, and detailed knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures and personnel
  • Highly proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software packages
  • Ability to use a personal computer
  • Professional communication skills

Field Technician (Operations)

Department: Engineering & Operations
Location: Keenesburg, CO
Report: Operations Manager

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Field Technician to support our field operation in northeast Colorado:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pipeline operations and maintenance activities on pipeline systems including compressor stations, dehydration/stabilizer facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include but is not limited to:

  • Assist pigging operations as needed along with proper documentation and procedures
  • Estimate and/ or calculate flow rates and total volumes
  • Learn to fill out applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities
  • Manage inventory at assigned sites regarding: Glycol, Methanol, NGL’s, Produced Water
  • Monitor pipeline conditions and recognizes flow restrictions in gas systems and take appropriate actions
  • Obtain data from electronic flow measurement (EFM) devices
  • Participates in preparation of field operating procedures and the training of co-workers in a safe and efficient operation practices
  • Perform minor repairs and assist with major repairs on compression and related equipment
  • Perform pipeline locates and monitor work of contractors and pipeline companies working around company pipelines and right-of-ways
  • Perform routine and emergency startup/shutdown of all field equipment
  • Perform routine shutdowns and startup of equipment and perform emergency procedures when required
  • Responsible for pipeline maintenance and monitoring including protection, corrosion monitoring, pipeline pigging, pressure maintenance, loss gas, line repairs, etc.
  • Responsible for starting and stopping of all station equipment, dehydration operations and maintenance, and maximize field compression efficiently
  • Technician will also be required to perform certain PSM functions and activities.
  • Testing for O2 and H2S levels in gas streams
  • This person will have basic understanding of PLC’s and their functions, flow and temperatures and BTEX units.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Execute all maintenance activities related to plant maintenance and operation
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision
  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
  • Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, hearing protection, footwear, FR clothing).

Job Summary

Cureton Midstream is seeking a self-driven and experienced Executive Administrator to support our Denver Office.  Responsibilities will include phone coverage, executive calendar management, booking travel and expenses, planning and arranging meetings and company events, and accounting and human resources support as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Act as a liaison, problem solver, and facilitator as the first contact for the executive team and others in the company.
  • Manage the day-to-day work flow as well as possess confidence and strong communication skills to interface with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and professional presence with a confident and approachable personality.
  • Handles details, access to information and conversations of a highly sensitive nature in strict confidence.
  • Manages Outlook calendar requiring a high degree of balancing external/internal meetings and must be able to adjust and reschedule meetings on short notice to accommodate the needs of all participants.
  • Coordinates and arranges travel itineraries and arrangements including, but not limited to, air and ground transportation, hotel reservations, and other travel needs. Must be able to plan complex itineraries and expedite last minute changes, sometimes after normal business hours .
  • Schedules and coordinates meeting space and logistics for a variety of meetings to include but not limited to executive meetings, board meetings, external visitors and candidate visits/interviews.
  • Drafts/prepares memorandums, correspondence, agenda materials and other documents of a highly confidential nature using MS Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint.
  • Assists the Accounting Department with new vendor setup, correspondence, and expense reports.
  • Assists with Human Resource functions such as on-boarding, filing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains and organizes files.
  • Prepares and sends shipments of documentation via FedEx, USPS, UPS, etc.
  • Maintains and orders office supplies when needed.
  • Acts as key liaison between executive and clients, company leadership, staff and the general public.
  • Manages the front desk by answering the company’s main phone line and greeting clients.
  • Proactively responds to a wide variety of requests with expeditious action and with a positive, consultative approach.
  • Some after-hours availability via email or mobile phone may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
