Business Development Representative, Manager, or Director

Department: Corporate Development
Location: Denver, CO or available to travel to Denver
Report: SVP of Corporate Development & CFO

Essential job functions and responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and nurture industry relationships
  • Source and originate opportunities and transactions consistent with the organization’s strategy and overall company objectives and values
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers in potential customer / peer organizations and maintain those relationships
  • Develop and manage company relationship strategy
  • Develop, manage, and maintain methodical relationship strategy with specific counterparties creating multiple touchpoints between the companies
  • Attend various networking events including but not limited to conferences, happy hours and dinners
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence on industry and competitor activities
  • Lead cross functional teams across the organization to ensure comprehensive deal evaluation and execution
  • Provides creative deal structuring and commercial solutions to arrive at win-win transaction outcomes
  • Manage transaction review and approval process with Cureton Leadership Team and Board
  • Support integration initiatives post-closing to ensure appropriate value creation for the pro forma company
  • Perform successful transition from BD to Commercial management of the deal
  • Research and analyze activity in the Company’s focus areas
  • Assist in developing strategic business initiatives
  • Understand existing commercial relationships and work with Commercial team to develop new opportunities
  • Candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding and appreciation for working in a team environment
  • Must display an ability to gain a strong understanding and appreciation of the Company’s mission, vision and values

  • Strong understanding of midstream project economics and risk/return considerations
  • Able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience working in gathering and processing and other midstream related contracts
  • Able to maintain and process confidential information discretely

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years oil and gas experience in industry or advisory capacity (i.e. investment banking, or private equity)
  • Minimum 3 years in business development role Preferred Experience
  • DJ Basin existing relationships
  • Gas midstream experience Computer Skills

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are a must.
